A 12-week cognitive behavioral group protocol for treating anger problems in adults with substance use or mental health conditions, written by Reilly and Shopshire for SAMHSA. Each session gives the group leader suggested remarks, exercises, and homework, covering anger cues and triggers, anger control plans, the aggression cycle, A-B-C-D cognitive restructuring, assertiveness, and conflict resolution.
Updated in 2019 from the 2002 original, it is one of the most widely used free anger protocols in community treatment. A companion Participant Workbook gives group members session summaries and homework worksheets.

The anger collection covers the manual's weekly monitoring homework (warning signs, the anger cycle, triggers), and the ABC model worksheet mirrors its A-B-C-D cognitive restructuring session.
